Torni's Christmas Feasts
For almost a hundred years, Torni has been the scene of the dinners of its distinguished guests and has become known as both a dinner party and Christmas house.
Tornin Pidot (Torni´s Feasts) is first time mentioned in 1937, when Yrjö Kivimies gathered a group of younger generation Finnish intellectuals in the Torni's cabinet to enjoy the great food and drink and discuss topical issues such as the myth of Finnish national character, neighbourly relations and the coexistence of different peoples.
The discussions led to the publication of a book, Tornin Pidot, in which the debaters appeared under pseudonyms. This Christmas, the atmosphere at the Tornin Pidot will once again soar with delicious menus created by our chef, bursting with Christmas flavors.
