EVENTS AND MEETINGS
The Kappelin kellari cellar space provides a unique setting for your event. The space is available for private hire with a reasonable minimum spend. The space is ideal for sit-down dinners or parties from 20 to 100 persons. The cellar space include a large dining room, a bar, the hall and a room that can be used for a buffet service, for example. The vaulted ceilings, the warm ambient lighting and the large wood-burning fireplace create an unforgettable setting for your special event.
The cellar space has a separate entrance on the Kauppatori side of the building. The space can also be accessed through the main restaurant. The cellar space has a cloakroom and toilets. The bar is stocked with a good selection of beverages. Drink vouchers can also be arranged.
Thanks to its central location, unique history and architecture and privacy, Kappelin kellari is ideal for business events, Christmas parties, birthdays, hen and stag nights, weddings and other special occasions. You and your party are welcome to stay until 2 a.m.!

KAPPELIN KELLARI – LIVING HISTORY OF HELSINKI
Since the early 1900s, Kappelin kellari cellar bar has served as the meeting place and club for businessmen and craftsmen of all walks of life. During Prohibition, it operated as one of the city’s many speakeasies. The large Helsinki mural is credited to Henrik Erland Salonen.
BUFFET DINNER FOR 98 PERSONS
The restaurant is especially famous for its tasty and generous food based on modern Finnish cuisine, where domestic ingredients and handcrafted dishes add value to the visit. Kappeli also has its own bakery.
SALES GUARANTEE
- Fri – Sun €3000, incl. 6 hours of party time. For additional hours, €400 sales guarantee / hour.
- Mon – Thu €1500, incl. 6 hours of party time. For additional hours, €300 sales guarantee / hour.
If the final bill for your event is less than the sales guarantee, we will charge the difference as a space-rental fee.
MEETING TECHNOLOGY: Video projector, screen, microphone, sound reproduction for the customer’s Apple computer or iPad.
