Karelian-language music finds its home at Bomba House in Nurmes with the launch of Tohakka Club in 2025. On six special evenings, folk, rock, and traditional Karelian music will fill the air at Bomba House.

"Tohakka" translates to "bustle, commotion" and even "a little tipsy" in English. The Tohakka Club offers a unique opportunity to experience the rare and endangered Karelian language in the inspiring setting of Bomba House.

The six club nights will feature performances from award-winning Loimolan Voima, blending tradition with new folk sounds Sattuma, modern Karelian-language rock band Tulenlendo, and the more traditional Karelian ensemble Pajojoukko Bratanat.

The host and producer of Tohakka Club is Karelian hipster Mika "Levoin Miša" Saatsi, in collaboration with Break Sokos Hotel Bomba.
